[ARCHIVED] Coffee With a Cop

Hartford Police Department Hosted Coffee with a Cop

on October 3, 2018 at Dunkin’

City of Hartford – On October 3, 2018, officers from the Hartford Police Department and community members came together at Dunkin’ to discuss community issues, build relationships, and drink coffee. A special “thank you!” to Ryan Hassett of Dunkin’ for hosting the event!

The Hartford Police Department hopes to continue to partner with local businesses to host more events in the future. City of Hartford Officers at the event included Officers Jeremy Deibert and Officer Derrick Janzen.

“I had fun meeting everyone, and the staff was great,” said Officer Jeremy Deibert.

It’s a real nice icebreaker. It kind of breaks down any barriers of intimidation. We want the public to know they can approach us and talk with us about anything,” said Officer Derrick Janzen.

Coffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the department’s work in the City of Hartford. The program aims to advance the practice of community policing through improving relationships between police officers and community members, one cup of coffee at a time.

A big “THANK YOU” to all the community members who dropped by during our event!
