Hartford, Wisconsin is a community with a growing population of diverse and skilled individuals. Investments in community amenities, events, and housing options ensure that we remain a vibrant and appealing option for the talent you need for your business.
Cultivating a Highly Skilled Workforce
America is facing an unprecedented skilled labor shortage. Hartford is fortunate to draw talent from students of Moraine Park Technical College and UW-Washington County. Moraine graduates an average of 1400 students equipped to enter a variety of fields from technology to manufacturing. UW-Washington County graduates over 600 students in 30 fields of study.
Public education is the responsibility of two school systems. The School District of Hartford Joint No. 1 provides a quality educational experience for students in grades K-8 while the Hartford Union High School District (HUHS) provides a comprehensive education to students in grades 9-12 preparing them for college and career pathways. HUHS has established Co-op and Youth Apprentice programs, as well as an award-winning Career and Technical Education program.
